Wall Plaster

Plaster is one of the final finishing for the wall or any building’s interior and exterior. The basic purpose for dressing is to resist fire and need to wall surfaces or buildings showing to be beautiful. if the wall plaster quality is good then install the coating application on the wall or any building components.

Calculate The Estimate of Wall Plaster

In this article, we will learn how to calculate the estimate of wall plaster by some given data. Given data is only for helping to understand how to take the dimensioned.

Given Data

length of the wall = 1m

Height of the wall =1m

The thickness of the plaster = 0.012mm

The ratio of the mortar =1:6

Sum of the Ratio =1+6=7

Density of cement =1440kg/m³

Solution

The volume of the Mortar = Length x height x thickness of the mortar

The volume of the Mortar =  1 x 1 x 0.012 = 0.012m³

This volume is the wet volume we need to convert the dry volume then we will calculate the cement bags or in kg and sand weight.

wet volume of mortar = 0.012m³

Convert to Dry volume to multiply constant value =1.30

Dry volume of the mortar = 0.012 x 1.30 = 0.0156m³

Quantity of the Cement

Quantity of the cement = ratio of the cement/sum of the ratio x dry volume of the mortar x density of cement

Density of cement =1440kg/m³

Quantity of the cement = 1/7 x 0.0156 x 1440 =3.21kg

1 bag of cement = 50kg

Total bag of cement = 3.21 /50 =0.064 bag

Quantity of the Sand

Quantity of the Sand  = Ratio of the sand /sum of the ratio x volume of the dry mortar

Quantity of the Sand (m³)  = 6/7 x 0.0156 =0.0133m³

1m³ =35.3147ft³

Quantity of the Sand(ft³)  = 0.0133 x 35.3147 = 0.47ft³
